Tomato Plants

Why do my tomatoes plants start to wilt and die from the bottom of the plant about the second week in August? Thank you.

There are several types of diseases that are referred to as wilt. As you may guess, it is because plants affected by these diseases wilt. They all look very similar so it is often hard to diagnose which it is, but unfortunately all of them have no treatment and will kill the plant. Plus, they all reside in the soil, so any nightshades you plant there the next year will also wilt and die.
