tomato plants leaves turn yellow at top

This happened last year after leaves turned then curled and plant died.

It sounds like you may have tomato leaf curl virus. There is no cure and the plants should be discarded. It lives in the soil, so you should not plant tomatoes or any other nightshade plants in that spot for 2-3 years.
