Tomato Plant Watering

Should I water my tomato plant from overhead occasionly to keep leaves clean and mites, etc. off?

It is never recommended to use overhead watering as this can cause the foliage to remain wet, leading to fungal problems. Bottom watering or drip irrigation is generally preferred.
