tomato failure

I accidently picked up a diseased cucumber plant, unbeknownst to me. At that same time, I bought a tomato plant from the same rack. The cucumbers showed immediate signs of the disease they had, of which I have no idea, but the tomato looked ok. Not knowing, I planted them side by side. The cucumber seemed to recuperate from whatever the heck it was, but the tomato is another story. It has a lot of green tomatoes on it, and some have turned orange, but they have rotten spots where they touch each other. The leaves are crispy to the touch, some with mottled spots, others look ok. This is not my first rodeo with growing tomatoes, but this other stuff is buggin’me. Cant use any of the fruit and if there is one that makes it, it is rock hard and a lot of white inside. I gave them eggshells and 10-10-10. Also water at least twice a week when there is no rain. It is close to 95 right now and I want to bring this plant around. Can you help?
