Q.toad lilies

Zone 22152 | Leslie Nanney added on July 4, 2017 | Answered

I was given some toad lily bulbs. I’ve never grown them before. There are 8 bulbs-2 each of 4 different colors. Should I plant them in 8 separate locations, put the matching pairs in 4 separate locations, or all 8 together? The instructions say to place 12-15″ apart. It seems like this spacing will be sparse for the couple of years. Could they be closer and then divided when they get too crowded?

Thanks for your help!

Plant the bulbs in any combination your would like, and you can plant closer together; though you may need to divide sooner.
