Tiny Webs Appearing on a Gardenia Plant

The plant has never been outside, but it is developing tiny webs on the leaves. It looks like it might be a mite, but as I said the plant has never been outdoors. The leaves look very healthy and I was able to get two nice blooms on the plant. Could you please tell me what is causing the webs?
