Tiny Spiders on Indoor Gardenia Bush

I received a gardenia for Mother’s Day and recently discovered very fine webs circling sections of leaves. On closer inspection, there appear to be very tiny orange colored spiders on the fine webbing. I wiped them off and within a day, they were back. Are they harmful to the plant? How do I get rid of them without harming my gardenia?
