Q.Tiny Red Bugs

Anonymous added on May 23, 2011 | Answered

I have these very tiny red bugs that look almost like a spider but have very short legs. They are no bigger than a pin head. They are not on my plants but are crawling around my patio and on my outdoor furniture. If you squash on it, it looks like bright orange-red blood. Can you identify them for me, as they are driving me nuts?

They are most likely either red spider mites or clover mites. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/red-spider-mites.htm
