Timing Of Dividing A Philodendron

Question

Live in Austin. Temp is getting into 90s. Want to divide a large,overgrown potted philodendron plant. Potted on backporch. Shaded,but receives 6 hours of sun, well watered. Do I have to wait until Fall to split?
