Thyme flowering

Can you stop creeping Thyme from flowering or how do you get rid of the flowers? I planted it between my flagstone and it flowers all summer with thousands of bees, you can’t walk on the patio without disturbing them. I have lots of other plants in the front yard for the bees to use.

The only way to prevent flowering would be to trim the plant back (or mow them over), especially once you begin to notice blooms appearing.
