Crepe Myrtle Trees

Q.Three Crepe Myrtle Trees 1 Bloomed Other 2 No

The crepe myrtles in my backyard have always been great. This year one is beautiful the other o blooms nothing. My wife has wild Iris tubers planted around the treee I don’t know if that factored into this. Something is definitely wrong . The other crepe Myrtle is a bush and it’s in year 6 ihave gotten some flowers in the past but not very many and none this year. The bush has never gotten wider only taller and this the bush looks great but no flowers. Please Help these are my favorite to sit on my patio watch the birds in them. I have them professionally fertilized through year. At 70 years old they bring me enjoyment .

The wild iris may be competing with the crape myrtles for nutrition and water. It's always best to put mulch under trees, not more plants. These articles should help determine why they are not blooming:
