It is best to wait and see how many flowers actually end up pollinated before you thin them. Once fruit starts to form, remove all but 1 fruit for every 1-3 feet of vine. The further apart to space the fruit, the larger the fruit can grow, but it will also mean that you will get fewer fruit..
