Bamboo Plants

Q.These have shot up from my black bamboo; they grow at least a foot a day. I have had at least 15 this year; what are they?

They are at least an inch thick and the feelers sticking out have liquid on when I cut off they go brittle and soft.

I researched this and could not find anything that specifically describes this kind of growth. Your description of them makes me think they are the result of some type of fungus. My best suggestion would be to take one of these things along with your photos to a university horticultural dept. or a local nursery for help.
