voodoo lily seed balls?

These appeared at the base of the wife’s voodoo lilies. They are black, about 2 inches across and look like a pomegranate after it’s been peeled. Are they seed balls or what? If so, how and what do we do with them? There has been no special treatment to the area where they are planted (it’s pet’s final spot). I planted the corms between 4-6 inches deep and the spot is mainly shadowed.

Yes, this is a seed head. It generally falls over when it is ripe.
Ants and beetles will carry the seeds to other areas of the garden.

You can allow the seeds to dry on the plant then collect them.
Wear gloves when handling all parts of the plant and seeds.
Sow the seeds right away since they do not store well.
