Q.mystery plant growing by compost pile

Zone Brandon, SD (country) | Pak28 added on July 22, 2015 | Answered

There is a mystery plant growing by my compost pile. The thing growing from it has the shape of a pumpkin but is a dark green. I don’t know what it is or what to do with it. What is it and what should I do with it? My neighbor has bees and we grew pumpkins last year in our garden along with zucchini, squash and cucumbers.

It is not unusual for something to grow from the compost pile.
The pumpkins you grew last year may have been a hybrid. The seeds from that plant may not resemble the original plant.
A pumpkin of some kind is growing, enjoy!
