Schefflera Plant

I have a very large schefflera. The new growth is up at the ceiling. If I cut the stalk, will it bush back out from the bottom under where I cut it? There are no limbs there. The stalk is very tall.

There's a good chance you'll get multiple new shoots from the stalk where you cut it. Whenever I've pruned mine, it grows back twofold, thicker and very healthy.
