The legality of cutting pampas grass along a canal bank to remove the Iguanas habitat.

Our condo borders a canal. Pampas grass has been allowed to grow unabated for years, from 25 yards to over 800 yards and it is still growing. Can we cut it or hire someone to do so? Why, because the Iguanas have their habitat there and thousands of them are invading our property. If we remove the grass, we remove the Iguanas. It it legal? We can’t wait for a freeze. It is a problem!

You would need to speak with the landowners and your city on matters of plant maintenance and pest control.
