The last 2 zucchini we picked have small white dots all over the vegetable itself. Is it okay to eat? What is the cause?

We have had a lot of rain here; not sure if that is the issue. However, the first 4 zucchinis were fine. Thanks for any help you can give.

This is normal for many varieties of zucchini. There is no cause for concern here. It is just like spots on a dog. Some are spotted, or striped, while some are black. There are many to choose from!
