Q.The grass in my garden is being overrun by some sort of moss ( see attached picture ).
The ground is heavy with clay, regularly becomes waterlogged with water sitting on the surface after heavy rain. I have attempted to dig it up as turfs and dispose of them, but the work is very hard going and I appear to be losing the battle. Do yo have any suggestions please.

Boiling water will kill just about anything off in the soil. Try this once or twice per day for a few days. You will also need to amend the soil to make it more favorable to other plants.
