Rose Of Sharon Plants

Q.The buds on my Rose of Sharon froze this last spring due to a late frost. It is green but no flowers. Will it bud next spring?

My rose of Sharon started budding in early spring. we got another freeze and seems that the buds froze. no flowers this year but still green. Is it going to bud next year?

Be sure to trim off any dead leaves and buds that may remain on your Rose of Sharon bush. This first article has instructions on how to feed the bush. Since they typically flower all summer, if the first buds were indeed lost to frost and not something else, it should bloom again this year. If the nonblooming is for another reason, it may not bloom again till next year once the issue is corrected. These two articles will help:
