The BIG leaves that are on the cucumber plant, do I leave them on or can I take them off?

No, do not cut off your cucumber leaves. It opens the plant’s vascular system up to bacteria and viruses. The leaves also act like a sunscreen for the fruit and help to keep weeds from growing around the plant.
