Temperature

Would like to plant a crape myrtle shrub or tree. I live in Ohio. Temperatures range from 85/90 degrees down to 5/10 degrees below zero. Would they grow in our climate? If so, how should you plant them and when? Must they be covered in the winter?

They will but you may also want to consider growing them in containers. This article will help:
