Q.Tangerine tree in pot is growing many leaves, but lost most of the new tiny tangerines.
My 3 year old tangerine tree in a pot had many, many blossoms on it this year that began to develop into fruit. It began to grow many more leaves, and during a hail storm most of the fruit fell off. Why is it growing many more leaves this year?

It could be that you are using a high nitrogen fertilizer, such as miraclegro or any other with slow release nitrogen. This can hinder fruiting quite a bit. During fruiting, you will want to feed them fertilizers high in phosphorus and potassium in order to promote fruiting.
There are many fertilizers meant for citrus and they will be the easiest to work with for feeding.
