Q.Tangerine fruit

Zone Brownsville Tx 78521 | thelmaloufdz added on September 24, 2017 | Answered

Our tangerine tree has lots of fruit but lately has been dropping them fairly small and some still green while others slightly turning orange. Last years crop was bigger fruit and would ripen on tree and we’pick them from tree. What may be going on?

This is common with heavily fruited citrus. They will drop some fruit early to focus on what they can. This will ensure that some of them will grow to full size.

Here is an article that is for lemon tree, but will also be the same for orange trees that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/lemons/lemon-tree-fruit-drop.htm
