Tangelos

Question

I live in Tucson, Arizona and this year (for the first time) my tangelos have a very thin skin and are very juicy. I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong because in the past years the tangelos were a little thick skinned, not as juicy, and easy to peel. Your opinion and possible remedy are welcome.
