Yucca plants need soil with excellent drainage capabilities. A mix of equal parts potting soil, coarse sand, and perlite will provide enough drainage for yucca plants.

Boiling water can be effective in some weeds, but it is not likely to have much effect on the Yucca roots.

Only time will tell if the plant can recover. Wait it out. Make sure soil is draining.

Staking them up can help some, but you may have to dig the hole deeper. Also, take care not to let these get overwatered, even when just starting to establish. They can get rot diseases, where the stems will be soggy and flop over.

These will likely lead to the death of the plant if this happens.

If you can include photos, then I will be able to better help you.

This appears to be what is known as a variegated corn palm. An indoor variety of yucca. That streak down the center is called variegation. It is normal on that variety. Now, I do notice the tips are burning a little. I would only seldomly feed this as they are light feeders. Make sure the soil gets moist, not wet, and only dries out the top two inches between waterings. You should apply dolomitic lime every 6 months to keep the pH stable. As long as you get them to sprout and properly care for them, they will grow up to be mature plants. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/yucca-seed-pods.htm

It is probably a healthy sign, of adequate soil moisture and fertility to stimulate new growth. If you have moved it or otherwise allowed more sunlight to reach the stem of the plant, that will also stimulate the latent buds on the stem to develop branching.
If you don't like the look, and you don't want branching to occur, you can prune off the lateral growth back to the primary stem.
