My yoshino tree is dying! All the leaves on the bottom are brown and now the top are starting to be brown. I bought it about 13 months ago. It's relatively young.
However, I am afraid it is highly possible that the tree may be affected by Verticillium wilt. This article has more information:

(2) of our 2 year old cherry trees appear to have delayed growth pattern, it's June 3rd south jersey, my 4 others have bloomed and growing as expected. Leaves have brown edges, not falling yet but very concerned. Thanks
They may have remained a little too wet over the winter, or may be just a little more susceptible to disease than its neighbors. It happens.
Usually, treating the area with a fungicide, and only watering during drought will resolve the infection. This article will help:

Proper care will bring it back to health. These articles will help with care and treatment for ornamental cherry trees:

I’ve planted a Yoshino cherry tree an week ago by local installer. After watching some videos about the tree I think this tree is planted deep. I’m sending some pictures. 1st one is how they planted it and in 2nd one I removed the dirt (found sucker coming out). I’m not sure where is the graft point or the root flare. Should I replant the tree higher or is it okay or do I need to remove some dirt (like 2nd picture)? If I remove dirt around the trunk it makes a little hole as it is leveled to the ground now. Will it be a problem?
The graft union should be above the soil line. The second picture looks correct. That bulb looks like the graft. Here are care tips:
