We have a lot of lawn rust on our lawn this year (wet summer + very shady lawn), but that's not my worry at the moment. A lot of our apples ended up on the ground (for a week or more), but are still usable for sauce, etc. . . - but are they still OK to use because of the lawn rust fungi? Do I need to wash them in anything special?
