Auburn, ALQ.weeds and unwanted grass
I have some late fall weeds and grass growing around some shrubs and pine straw areas of my yard. Should I spray them with weed and grass killer a day or so before the first freeze night going down to 32 degrees or will the freeze solve the problem?

Certified ExpertA.Depending on the type of weeds, the freeze can only be temporary. If you would like to do this without chemicals, then you can pur boiling water on them. This will kill them completely.

Certified ExpertA.These inks are, usually, safe. I wouldn't worry too much. This type of paper is unbleached, which is the real problem. This is a good application of newspaper in the garden.
