    As long as you can provide shade, or cover for it during the hottest portions of your climate then it can be possible. What is the plant? There may be a way to grow this in container, or even provide conditions as long as you are mindful of its tolerances.

    Gardening zones help you choose plants that will survive your winters; the zones simply reflect how cold winters in your region typically are. A newer concept is heat zones. Designed by the American Horticultural Society, heat zones help you know if a potential plant purchase will do well with the degree of summer heat in your region.
