I have two 15 year old tangerine trees grown from seed planted in the garden. They are full of leaves and healthy but so far have never flowered or set fruit. They are in good sunshine from mid morning to dusk in Antigua, West Indies. Have you any tips to stimulate them to making flowers and fruit? D
This will ultimately depend on the exact variety of tangerine that you got these from. Some will bear fruit that resembles the parent, while others will bear a much different fruit, or even not at all!
You can do something to help the process along, though. You can feed them a citrus fertilizer, dolomitic lime, and iron sulfate once or twice a year. This will ensure that they have what they need to fruit properly.
Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/oranges/no-fruit-on-orange-trees.htm
We moved from Michigan to Southern California and now have a tangerine tree in our back yard. The fruit has never been sweet and juicy, probably because we don't know how to care for it. This year, there are so many tangerines on the tree, but they are small, dry and sour. I'm thinking we probably should have picked some blossoms off, among other things, like fertilizing, pruning, etc. it's a lovely tree and we've would like to be able to enjoy the fruit. Can you help?

My 50 year old dwarf tangerine tree is just beginning to show flowers. Should I fertilize the tree now? or when?
You should fertilize ever year in spring. This article will give you more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/tangerine/tangerine-tree-care.htm
My tangerine should be producing fruit between Nov. & March. Instead, it is flowering profusely in March. How do I correct this 'off bloom'?? I am in Clermont, FL
This is right on schedule. These times indicate at what times they are likely to flower, and this falls between those lines. This will flower when it is time to do so, and there will not be much that you can do to change this. There are hormones that you can use to initiate flowering "out of season" but this is not healthy for the plant to do very often, and is also a dangerous set of chemicals to human health.
i just moved into my house a little over a year ago. we have two tangerine trees that produced fruit last summer, but this spring we had a major drought. I watered them a couple of times a week, but I do not have an irrigation system available yet. The rain has caught up to normal levels, but the trees have lost all their leaves and budding fruit. the main question I have is, will they return to normal now that the rains have returned or will they most likely be dead?
You should check the health of the branches to see if they are still alive.
Bend them; do they snap off and break?
Do a scratch test. Live bark should be white or light green under the bark.
If the tree is still alive, it may recover.

I have a Tangerine tree, had it for over five years, it gives me many, many tangerines, but they are all so sour to eat. What can I do to help my poor plant give me better tasting tangerines? Ron
There are actually quite a few reasons why this is happening. You will have to correct one or more of these to restore a sweeter taste. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/oranges/oranges-taste-sour.htm
My 3 year old tangerine tree in a pot had many, many blossoms on it this year that began to develop into fruit. It began to grow many more leaves, and during a hail storm most of the fruit fell off. Why is it growing many more leaves this year?
It could be that you are using a high nitrogen fertilizer, such as miraclegro or any other with slow release nitrogen. This can hinder fruiting quite a bit. During fruiting, you will want to feed them fertilizers high in phosphorus and potassium in order to promote fruiting.
There are many fertilizers meant for citrus and they will be the easiest to work with for feeding.
