I was just out cleaning up my garden, including pulling out all the beautiful Swiss chard. It actually still looks quite nice, but everything else, except for beet greens and carrots died in the recent nights of frost. I hate to throw the chard out, but by the same token, don't want to use it if it isn't safe to use after the plant has experienced frost.
It is fine. Chard can actually survive quite low temperatures and some people even believe that its flavor is improved after going through a good frost or two.
My chard has a fungus and I would like to know if there is a home remedy to get rid of it.
You can try neem oil, which in addition to being a good organic insecticide, it's a fungicide too. Safe to use on edibles. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm
I planted my chard from plants I bought. They were doing well. I watered them daily, but the last few days have been very hot. The leaves dried up during the hot spell. Was this from the heat or the soil? The plants were in my garden for 2 weeks. Thanks, marleen
Excessive heat and wind can cause the leaves to dry up.
Your plants are quite new to the garden space and may not have taken root enough yet.
Continue to water the plants and you can even try to shield them from the hottest part of the day.

I've read plenty on what Chard needs to look like, but how old. Does it take a few months to grow? When it's a month old, can I harvest? It's a school assignment and I can't find any answers on the internet. Thank you so much :)
Here is a link with harvesting information.

A friend has a huge chard plant and a big stalk fell off. I put in water to root but can it be planted directly to soil?
No, you will not be able to root the stalk.
Swiss Chard grows from seed.

I have a 10' row of Lucullus Swiss chard that have matured to about 24". I harvested very healthy and delicious older stems for several weeks when the stalks began to turn brown. All but two plants now have dark stems. I experimented with two plants and removed the affected leaves, but the plants may have been too severely pruned and are not producing new sprouts. Is there a way to save these plants going into fall? Is it safe to eat the brown stems? It is too late to replant? Thank you.
You need to be careful not to damage the terminal bud when harvesting.

Are Bright Lights and Rainbow the same?
Chard is also commonly called Bright Lights.
Rainbow Chard is a colorful hybrid cultivator that is a mix
of varieties that is often mistaken for a variety in itself.
