Why do the plants start turn to brown and die when I bring them inside?
I think Mosquito Shoo is a particular geranium variety:

There are several reasons a houseplant might turn brown: watering problems, light level problems, diseases and insects, and other issues. See these articles:

Plant is 3 feet tall recently purchase and have followed all citronella care instructions , should I repot or return to store?
That is a fungal infection. If their return policy will allow you to return this, then it wouldn't hurt. These will get soil infections at the slightest overwatering, or even because of not being able to dry out fast enough.
Should you feel the need to attempt to correct this, the best way would be to replace 1/3 of the water with peroxide the next time that you water. This can help correct infections as long as they are not too far infected.
This article will give you further information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/scented-geranium/mosquito-citronella-geranium-plant.htm
I would like to use the dead leaves for burning in incense. Is the plant safe to burn?
This is generally regarded as safe unless you have an allergy to the plant. If it give you any skin reactions, or sneezing, then I would not recommend it. Otherwise, it will not harm you in any way.
Hello! I am overwintering multiple scented geraniums in my basement under plant lights. Over the summer they have become very leggy and all the growth on most plants is at the top. Is it safe to prune these? If so, how do I do that? I tried to keep them bushy over the summer but apparently not enough! (photos attached). Thanks!
Yes, you can cut those back. And root the cuttings for more plants! I wouldn't take off more than a third of the plant at one time. And try to leave a couple leaves on each stem. After it starts filling in you can always trim again later. I've attached an article with more information.

On one of the articles on your website, it is stated that scented geranium is perfectly safe for cats. This is in fact a very wrong statement and I hope you look into fixing this as this plant is extremely dangerous to felines whether they ingest the stem, flowers, roots or leaves of this plant. It’s a shame that such a complete opposition to the scientific truth is stated on your website as I am sure many pet and animal owners like myself might refer to your website for clarifying information. I was very close to including a few of these plants into our catio and I’m glad we did more research. I hope next time, if you don’t have knowledge of a matter, that instead of writing fake articles, hopefully you’ll resort to no statement at all.
Thank you for your question. This article explicitly states that scented geraniums are toxic to pets:

Please provide us with a link to the article that you feel contains incorrect information. Thank you.
There are small pink spots on the leaves. Is that leaf spot or something else? Some other flowers seem to have a bigger versions of the problem.
This looks like the start of a fungal/bacterial issue. Make sure that the top of the soil has a chance to dry out, very thoroughly, down to about an inch or so between watering.
I would make sure to treat with a fungicide, as well.
Her are some articles that will help:
