My son has a very big garden now and it is full of rabe. He asked me to check it, and today I went and the rabe was grown to about 10-12", and a lot had flowers on them. I cut every single one down and took them home and tried for hours to cut away what wasn't good. Now I am wondering after all that work, are they any good to eat?
You can eat them. They will be a bit more bitter but still edible.
I have planted Rapini from seeds and they have sprouted; however, they are about 2 inches long and very thin. Not sure if I did something wrong or if this is the way they start. My first time planting Rapini.
It sounds like they are getting leggy. This is caused by too little light. This article will help:
