    It sound like the weather. My pumpkin vines recently died dew to the humidity. I am sorry, but we can't control the weather,and I wish we could!

    They should yellow by halloween. They are edible and the one like marrow is a different type than your others. If you cut it off now it will rot in a few weeks. For your grass there is nothing you can do to have it grow back before winter. You will have to wait till spring. Also, don't fertilize it now, because it is dead and you will waste time and fertilizer.

    As long as they're stored right, your pumpkins should make it to fall with no problem. (Even if they're not stored perfectly, they should make it. I've been known to keep fall pumpkins in my house until well into the spring...) This article will tell you more about how to do it right:
