year? Attached neighbor's yard has a tree that seems to be populating the Ivy in his yard, mine, and another nearby yard. Seeing poison ivy plants popping up almost minute by minute. I have been carefully removing the plants by the roots but I almost need an army to help. I do have a small dog so I am avoiding chemical prays. I am allergic to the poison ivy so I am trying to minimize my exposure.
If you've got that many, I would go with the glyphosate. As long as the puppy isn't in the yard while the ground is wet with chemical, it should be fine. I'm told boiling water will kill it, but if you have a lot of poison ivy, that would be time consuming.

Our lakefront lot is infested with poison ivy. I want to spray it, but Roundup Poison ivy killer may not be permitted close to the lake. Is this the best solution or is there another approach I should consider?
Using substances like that near water sources might land you in more trouble than you want to be in. I would advise against this.
Boiling water is a viable option, however!
