flowers must be deer resistant, in full sun, and small area of shade, and easy care. our ground is very hard, with birch trees roots, very hard to dig, so will have to use pot/planters.
I believe this is a duplicate, and I have already answered on the original post.
We live in northern europe and are looking for a wind and winter hardy plant that will also provide some privacy. The summer can get full sun all day long.... Any ideas? We would plant them in large wooden planters about 2.5 meters by 80CM and about 40 CM high. Thanks so much!!
I am not familiar with your area, as we are based out of the US, but if you can tell me what your lowest and highest temperatures are, then I will be more than glad to help you.
I read in your artical about trees that thrive in wet soils can you tell me what is the fastest growing that does not get over 40 feet high and has deep roots thanks Rick Hubbard Seattle
I would suggest you contact your County Extension Office and retain a list of trees that meat your criteria in your region.
I've included some links for you as well as a link to help you locate your nearest Extension Office.

Is it to late to plant bulbs? it is EarlyApril zone nine.
This would depend on the bulb. With winter flowers, such as tulips, then it is much too late. These should be planted to go through the coolest part of the season. If these are summer bulbs then you can still plant them as long as they remain moist, and not too hot.
If you could tell me which ones you will be planting then I can better assist you with what to plant, and when.
Which vegetables can be planted in April?
That would depend on your zone. Can you include this information? I will be more than glad to help once I know what zone you are located in.
I live on the CT shoreline and I wanted to plant something on either side of my porch stairs that flowered in the summer months and stayed green in the winter. Can a Ceanothus 'Skylark' grow in my climate?
It seems that you are just shy of their hardiness zone. Even though these will not thrive here, there are several things that will. This article will get you started: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/gardening-by-zone/zone-7/zone-7-bushes.htm
I need a tall flowering plant on the south side of my house and wanted to use hollyhocks but we have lots of shade so that probably won't work. Can you suggest something else that is tall and could grow there?
What climate zone are you in? Or what is your zipcode? I can find out your climate zone with that. This information will give me a good idea of what to recommend for that area.
