A few of the roots look dried and underwatered, others are showing signs of being overwatered - mushy and soft - and the leaves have gone soft, thin and wrinkled. I know the plant is suffering but I don't know how to fix this. I may have kept the roots in the water too long, who knows. It might be a variety of things. It's possible I exposed it to too much light (not heat) some days but I don't yet know how many of the roots should be in the water before letting them dry out. Also, how often should the water be changed. I have been having success watering my other orchids with Schultz's Orchid drops. I wonder if I caused damage to this hydroponic orchid by adding drops to the water. I have the orchid in a lovely round glass bowl filled with marbles on the bottom so when the roots are out for the drying stage it still getting humidity (at least I hope). I hope I can help revive this orchid. It currently has a spike of flowers which are doing surprisingly well considering how the leaves look. Hope you can help.
Change the water every week or two. This article should help:
