Why do the buds form but then fall without opening?
Bud blast can happen if the care or growing conditions are not up to the liking of the Orchid.
Watering issues, temperature changes, light, pests or nutrient problems are all possible causes.

This is frowned upon in most Orchid growers circles.
You can gently use a pencil to lift a stuck petal and sometimes a rinse in warm water can loosen up a tight bud.
Provide good care and wait!
