I rented a room that has a garden door, but below the door it has some kind of cover that is ripped (see picture) I would like to know if there’s anything like a tarpaulin cover or any other material that I can fit to that area to prevent ants and other insects to coming into my room. Thanks
I'm sorry, we don't know of a way to fix this flooring issue. I would contact the landlord.

This is a fungal infection. Sometimes, they can resolve themselves, but it does help to give them a boost.

a possible ingredient. I have read that clove oil is cancer causing. The oil could be released by the boiling step. Would you che ck this out. Then remove "clove" listing? I just came upon your web site. It is great. Thank you for checking out my question. MaryLois
I have an old tree stump in my garden from a tree a cut down a few years ago, I want to make a flower bed in the area it is in. Do I have to remove the stump or can I just cover it with soil and compost and grow plants and flowers as normal..?
Both are options.

there are many of these (some bigger some smaller) all over a large bush in the garden. some branches have multiple. it looks like a genetic blip, like the buds have gone haywire. I'm not a gardener, and i have no expedience.
Unfortunately, this can be caused by many things! Insects can do this, as well as the bacteria and fungi that they carry.
I would look to your local agricultural resources to test and treat your soil for the specific disease in question. Broad spectrum fungicides can help, but it will be best to know exactly what it is, so that you can get the exact treatment.
Hi.i noticed part of my hedge dying a few weeks ago. The hedge is about 12 or 13 yrs old. I had assumed it had gotten damaged by the snow we had in March but now it appears to be travelling and the 2nd hedging has dead leaves on it. Could this be caused by some sort of disease and can it be sprayed with something to prevent the whole hedge from dying? Thanks, linda
I can't make a diagnosis from just these images but the fact that it is spreading would suggest a fungal issue.
Clean up any dropped leaves and dispose of.
Treat with a fungicide.
