The top of the tree is brown and not productive. Do I cut it off? It is in a pot.
Hi there
How about telling us what plant you have there....
Anyway, if it was mine, I'd prune off the dead part on a dry day

It is only May (in Maryland) and I already see aphids (green but last year I also had red ones) on some of the flowering trees. I also see quite a few ladybugs. I don't want the aphids but I also don't want to kill the ladybugs. Any ideas Last year I lost a lot of plants to aphids! Gabrielle
I'm sorry you're dealing with these pests! There are several plants that you can introduce onto your property that will actually attract ladybugs, and they are listed here: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/beneficial/attract-ladybugs.htm

My mom brought a flower for me but I have no idea how much should I water it and I don't want it to die too.
We are not clear what type of bulb you have growing, but in most cases you should make sure the soil is moist but never soggy.

Not sure you can help, but we have toads all summer around (and on) the back of our home. We love them; however, we have recently discovered one has resided in the frame of our doorwall. He appears randomly at the drainage hole at the bottom, but we cannot be sure he actually comes out and not sure if he's too big to exit, or comes out and goes back in - to screen off the hole so he can go elsewhere...safely. We actually hear him conversing with another toad under our deck (really funny), but really would like him to be in a safer place and not have to harm him or, better yet, tear apart or replace our doorwall. You mention they aren't big on smells, so how do we get him attracted to the outside of the door frame? Thank you!
From experience, Toad's can slip into and hide in very tiny areas. I have a few that sneak into my greenhouse each year.
I have found that they tend to move on after a period of time.

I have a tree where at the base of the tree on the ground around it, branches are growing from ground. Is there any way to get rid of them besides always cutting them? Thanks
No, you will need to continue to cut the shoots that are growing.
I'm not sure what type of tree that you have, but it likely could be a grafted tree.
The root stock can often times send up shoots, and left to grow they can drain the tree of energy and take over the grafted tree.

I live in Edwardsville, IL. Can I grow them here?
