How can I stop this before everything dies?
It is difficult to pinpoint the exact problem without gathering more information. Could you possibly provide some pictures? What kind of plants are you growing? Are they in containers or in the ground? It sounds like it could possibly be a problem with overwatering. Or it could be one of several garden pests.

Seed mud balls recipe. Cannot find pottery clay mix at local stores. They only have plaster of paris or paper mache powder mix. Would these workl Please advise asap as we are holding a workshop to construct the seed balls this week. Thanks so much, Eleanor
Plaster of paris and paper mache will not work. But, you can use the cheap, non-clumping kitty litter and I mean look for the cheapest kind. It is typically made of clay and only clay. You can use it as is (the balls will look a little chunky but they will still work) or you can send it through a blender or food processor to make it feel more like the pottery clay dry mix.

Please can you advise me of a book covering the very basic instructions on growing and wintering plants in a greenhouse. I am a complete novice and I haven't even bought a greenhouse but have just bought a plastic version to try to protect my plants over the winter.
