I have oleander trees in pots and in winter time I bring them indoors. When shall I bring them outdoors? I live in Long Island, N.Y.
The plants can be returned outdoors after danger of frost.
Exposure to cold will exfoliate the plants so use caution until temperatures are moderated.
Please remember that all parts of the plant are toxic and you should use protective gear when handling all parts of the plant.

I planted my oleanders about 1-1/2 yrs ago and they still are not growing but are about the same size. I live in Arizona, so I have water lines on each plant. Should I fertilize? And, if so, what can I give them to get some quick growth? Thank you Dominick Labate

Have lots of buds, but flowers do not open. Budsdry up and die. In a large planter Live in Mexico, lots of sun. Was told to give more water as soil is dry...leaves now turning yellow. So now too much water. HELP!
Oleanders can be repotted in the Spring. They do not like to have crowded roots.
Common pests on this plant are Aphids and Scale. They can cause the buds to drop.
Treat the plant with Neem Oil.
Yellowing leaves generally indicate a watering issue, too much or too little. If the roots are crowded it may not have enough soil to retain moisture.
The yellowing leaves also can be due to the insects and a combination of both issues.

Caution: All parts of an Oleander are poisonous!

My oleander bushes are very healthy and look beautiful except that they do not produce flowers. What is the problem?
Have you fertilizer your Oleander?
To much nitrogen will cause lots of green leaves and no flowering.
You can promote flowering by adding Phosphorous. Bone Meal is a good way to add the needed Phosphorous.

Pruning is best done after blooming and should be done before the end of August or September.
Dead or damaged parts of the plant can be pruned anytime.

I just purchased Oleanders and planted them last week for a privacy fence. The leaves are turning yellow with green spots and falling off. I checked the soil and they have plenty of water. But, I have a sprinkler system that covers the entire lawn. Will this cause yellow leaf drop? There is no way to avoid them getting watered by the sprinkler system. I did fertilize them when I planted them 9 days ago.
Yellowing leaves generally indicate a watering issue.
Though they will need additional water to become established, make sure the soil is draining.
I would avoid fertilizing until you have established growth, and then only if necessary; due to poor soil.
