Someone gave me a New Guinea Impatiens plant. Now that the weather is getting cooler, what do I do with it?
In most cold climates the tropical New Guinea Impatiens are generally grown as an annual.
By the end of the summer the plant can be a bit tired and woody.
Many people do take cuttings to grow over the winter for new plants in the spring.
You can also bring the plant indoors for the winter to take the cuttings in the spring.

I want to plant 10" potted impatiens in garden for instant color and coverage. Any suggestions to encourage spreading and longevity besides adhering to regular fertilizing and watering, given they are larger plants? Thank you! Candise,
Plant the Impatiens about 18 inches apart for a nice mass display.
Here is an article to refresh you on the care requirements, which you seem all ready aware of.

Is it possible to obtain a yellow New Guinea Impatiens plant?
They come in shades of oranges to reds to pinks and white, but not yellow!

Can they grow successfully in a shallow planter with soil only about 4" deep?
4 inches is very shallow. I would suggest that the minimum depth of 6 inches would work, but 8 to 12'' would give the plants a much better planting depth.
The more shallow the container, the more often you will need to check watering, and if the plant becomes quite root bound the plant may not be at it's best.

Please look at my photo to help me determine what is killing and how to properly address my New Guinea impatiens. I have researched the possible causes; however, was unable to find a photo resembling a similar affect as that on my personal photo attached. Not sure if this is a mold, mites, etc. And not sure if they are even treatable at this point. My other beds seem to be doing fine and one of those beds is getting almost identical sun as the affected bed.
It looks to be a leaf spot fungus.

I bought a New Guinea Impatiens plant two weeks ago. It had ten blooms when I transplanted to a hanging basket. Since then, the blooms have fallen off and no new blooms have appeared. The plant leaves are a deep green and is growing very well - just no blooms. What do I need to do now? Help please!
This will help;

I planted new guinea impatiens in my garden. The flowers fell off and I am now wondering how to make them flower again. The only thing I can possibly think is that this plant is shaded by a tree in the yard.
