We have a kiwi vine that I have no idea how to care for. Fertilizing, pruning TLC etc. any help?
These can be quite easy to care for. The only hang up is that you will need, both, a male and female vine to produce fruit. This collection of articles will give you more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/kiwi/
Hello I just received my hardy hairless kiwi vine from the nursery. It came tied to a stake in the pot. Do I remove the stake when I plant it or leave it for support for a while??? When do I untie it so the plant doesn't choke? We have the same climate as Northern California. Thanks
You can untie it at anytime. Just make sure to give it something to climb on as it ages. If properly pruned it can stand on its own. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/kiwi/growing-hardy-kiwi-vine.htm
Are you an Australian company. My question is about picking kiwi fruit for the first time and it needs to relate to Riverina weather zone and area. no point if in europe etc thanks
We are based out of the US. One does not need to know the environment to predict a kiwi harvest. They will go by a timeframe from flower pollination. Regardless, I am sure that there are many gardening centers in your area that will be glad to help, and will also be just as knowledgeable on the subject.
Hi, 5 years ago I purchased a male and female kiwi plant. I planted one on each side of my trellis. They come back every year and the green vines grow faster then I can keep up with trimming them. They are lovely but now my question how much longer do I have to wait for them to have flowers and fruit. I was told 3 to 5 years when I bought them? Thank you so much for your information. Carol Sanchez
Yes, 3 to 5 years is an average for fruiting, though it can be longer.
It can be other reasons and the links below will help you access the growing situation.

I live in central Louisiana, USA. Can I grow kiwis here and can I plant a whole kiwis to start it’s growing? What fertilizer is needed?
Yes you can plant Kiwi in Louisiana. You need at least one male which can pollinate several female plants. (Sounds like the boasts of a friend of mine).
Improve your soil before planting with compost. General purpose slow release natural fertilizer is best.

Did you know that Kiwi is also called Chinese gooseberry and is native to that country. It is used in Chinese medicine to eliminate internal heat and relieve thirst. (And you thought a cold beer would cool you down on a hot summer day after working in the garden, try Kiwi juice.) It has powerful antioxidant properties including high Vit C.

Hallow: I have a pair of Kiwi plants, planed about 5 years ago about 3 feet apart. The label says one is male and the other is female. They are now quite big. For last 3 years I get a lot of flowers in one of the plants, may be not the other. Branches from both plants are tangled together. Every year the flowers drop off after leaving small(2-3 mm)buds. Then all these drop off in a week or so also. These buds looks like tiny fruits, raising my expectation. But do not get a single fruit. The plants get a lot of sun shine in the morning and early afternoon. Then from mid afternoon to evening they are under the house shade. I leave in northern New Jersey (Zip 07834). Every year in April-May I fertilize the plans. The plants are on a dry land next to my deck. Also gets water from the lawn sprinkler system. What is wrong with my plants? What should I do to bear fruits? Thank you. Zahur
