This looks like Spider Mites have invaded your plant.
Damage initially appears as mottled discoloration on leaves and leaves may turn brown as they are drained of fluids. Alcohol wipes control spider mites. Remove badly damaged portions of the plant.

This can happen when there is not enough light. these will prefer bright, full sun. Sometimes can be sensitive to it if the temperatures are very hot. If this gets full sun, and the temperatures are abnormally high, then this could be the issue.

However, the opposite can be true. If the plant is in too dark of an area, then it will show the same response. This is more than likely the issue, as this is much more common.

It looks like the plant has been pruned very heavily. It might have trouble coming back from that. It might make a comeback, but it might be a good idea to root a cutting or two now in case the plant doesn't make it. Jade plants root very easily, and you won't have to feel as though you've lost the whole plant. This article will tell you more about the process:

The best way to tell if it is rooted, or starting to, is to look for new growth at the top. This is almost always a guarantee that you have a rooted plant.
