Well they have some calcium but not enough to be useful. This is an old garden myth so throw those shells in the compost. They are more useful there. Scientific studies looking into whether egg shells deter slugs did not show any benefit.

If the wipes contain alcohol, they would be fine on most plant leaves that are hard, not soft and fuzzy. Don't use them on sensitive plants such as Ferns and Orchids.

    Q.quote for GOOD article?

Hi there! I am a writer for GOOD magazine, and wondered if someone from your team might be able to help with a story I'm working on. It's a beginner-friendly guide to "houseplants with medicinal properties," and I still need one more source. Would one of your editors be available to comment on some houseplants that have distinct health/medicinal uses? Of course we'd provide a link back to GardeningKnowHow in the article. Let me know! -Alex

No, we would not recommend putting Citrus peels into plant soil
You can however compost your Citrus peels, and it can be beneficial to your compost to do so.

This can depend on the plant. Some will tolerate repotting, where some want to be rootbound. Usually, you will want to go with a pot an inch taller, and and inch wider than the one you have now. This is the general rule, but can vary for some plants.

This article will give you an idea of the plants that like to remain rootbound: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/should-you-repot-your-plant-happy-root-bound-house-plants.htm

When in doubt always use fresh potting soil suitable to your indoor plants.
