We recently had a few days of below freezing and a few of my hibiscus plants suffered some minor freeze burns. Should I prune these now or wait until late Feb. early March to prune? Live in Sacramento, CA area. Thanks.
Since it is still early in the winter season and additional freezes are inevitable, I would hold off on doing any pruning until spring as this will provide some protection to the plant. It may need more sun or it may need more phosphorus. I would move it to a sunnier location and add a phosphorus rich fertilizer.
I have a twisted hibiscus tree. I live in Colorado, so it's been inside since early Oct. So far it has done well, though it is starting to flower less and yellow more. What I am most concerned about is pollen looking stuff all over the buds, the underside of flowers and on leaves (or fallen on leaves surrounding flowers). First I thought it to be tiny bugs, but no. Can you help me to identify? Thank you.
It still could be insects or frass from insects. Some pests that affect this plant, like mites, are so small, they are hard to see details of them or even see them at all. I would recommend treating the plant with a pesticide.
I left my place and it went below freezing, got back and they were all brown wilty. I pruned back a lot. Should I put in fertilizer?
As long as the stems are still alive, it will come back. This article will help you with caring for it with the damage: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/tips-for-saving-cold-damaged-plants.htm
We had one freeze and I think my hibiscus froze. . . . how do I know if it will come back in the spring or if it is dead clear down to the roots?

This article should setermine if the plant is still alive: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/how-to-tell-if-a-plant-is-dead-and-how-to-recover-an-almost-dead-plant.htm
What to do about dead blooms on hibiscus.
You don't need to deadhead them as they will self clean, but if the buds don't fall off fast enough to keep the plant from looking a little ragged, it will not hurt to remove the dead blooms.
When and how much do you prune hibiscus? Live in Mumbai, India.
