Hello I have new plants Hebe, Heuchera, and Nandina in a shaded part of the garden but I have just noticed that they should be planted in full sun, will my plants be alright where they are, because it is difficult for me to move them into a sunny part of my garden, thank you, David Ayshford
Actually, Heuchera and Nandina will appreciate quite a bit of shade! Many Heuchera do not like full sun, and both it and Nandina will occur as a forest understory shrub, in nature. However, the Nandina will gain the most color in a sunny spot. (In my opinion, the color is a result of stress, and not necessarily good for the plant) Your Hebe will grow well whether it is in sun or shade! I think that you are in no danger of your plants being unhappy from lack of sun.

Will coral bells thrive if planted around the bole of a Japanese maple considering all of the shade. I would like to get rid of the mulch and the collar to make it more pleasing and to plant a number of Heucherae around the bole in an area about 3 to 4' in diameter. The shade from the tree is thinning out the grass and I thought a low light plant would thrive there. Are the fertilizer requirements and soil conditions for the separate plants amenable? Also, if this is feasible would you be so kind as to recommend several types of bells I should plant. I know that there is a variety of light requirements for these plants. Thanks Capt Samm
I think that it would be an appropriate plant, here! You may have to play around with the cultivar, as generally, the lighter the leaf color, the more light they can handle.
Here are some articles that will help:

I have noted that there are several that are listed as purple, but some may change color. I am interested in something that will stay purple at least for as long as possible, and also wondering where I might find them and if it is too late to plant them.
I have 'Black Pearl' heuchera and it stays dark purple all summer. Others that should stay purple include 'Grape Expectations,' 'Dolce Wildberry,' Primo Wild Rose,' and 'Forever Purple.' The issue is so many new cultivars come out every year that nurseries can't stock them all and the one you want may be hard to find. Try reputable online nurseries but I'd stay away from individuals selling plants.
I would wait till spring to buy/plant them. It is getting late in the year and they need time to get established.

I have watered it regularly, it is only newly planted last spring
If they are completely brown and dried, then you can remove them.

How do I take care of a Heuchera plnats? Do I need to cut it down in the fall
You don't have to cut them back unless the foliage is unsightly. They should remain evergreen through the winter in your zone 6.

series saying never heard of them. Having great difficulty finding a seller, online or other. Please held if you can. Also wondering why so few carry this coral bell variety?
It may be an older variety that isn't sold anymore. I saw a couple of websites that said the information was just for reference; in other words, they no longer sold the plant. I'm sure you can find a similar cultivar in local nurseries or online.
