What kind of fertilizer should I give my hebe plants? They are only a year or two old. Since they are still called young plants, can I give them a fertilizer I use for roses or 16-16-16?
Although the shrub doesn’t need much in the way of fertilizer, you can apply some once a year in late winter or early spring prior to new growth. If you do use fertilizer, choose one for acid-loving plants (like azalea, gardenia, etc.).
Can I bring my blue Hebe plant, 1.5' tall, inside over the winter? Zone 6/7. 30 minutes NW of Philadelphia.
You can winter over your Hebe plant outdoors since it is hardy down to zone 4. If you bring indoors you will need a southern sun exposure and will likely need to add a grow light.

Your website allows for pruning hebe plants but does not indicate WHEN such pruning should be done. My variety is Emerald Green. Thank you.
Frost damaged or winter damaged plants can be trimmed in the early spring.
After flowering is the best time to shape and and thicken the plant.
A few inches can be removed on smaller varieties and up to 6 to 10 inches for larger plants.
I have a beautiful white hebe but it has to be moved as its outgrown the space. When is the best time to dig it no new replant it? Thank you
The best time to move a shrub is when they are dormant, between late fall and early spring.

the leaves on my tree, the flowers and leaves in pots near the tree and quite a large area surrounding them are covered in a very sticky substance which is making the leaves curl up and die. On the back of some of the leaves are masses of, which looks like, eggs, very minute, and some strange bugs about 15mm long. Like small caterpillars. Can you suggest a way of getting rid of it, and indeed what it is?
Sounds like you have an Aphid infestation. The sticky substance is called Honeydew.

You can cover them during a cold spell, but remember to uncover as soon as the temperatures warm back up.
